GLIDER PRO WALKTHROUGH v1.0 by pseudo3d appearing exclusively on Carbon-izer.com (please ask permission - admin@carbon-izer.com) if you want to use it elsewhere. This walkthrough is incomplete but it will guide you through the first star of Slumberland and part of the second. It assumes two things: 1. You have played the "Demo House" and are aware of the traps. 2. "Second floor" (or "third floor", or whatever) refers to the floor above the ground level. This may be confusing for non-Americans. If you just want a few hints, go toward the bottom. ==WALKTHROUGH== WELCOME... Keep going right from the starting screen, picking up clocks and flowers. (The flowers are stationary but you get bonuses). After a few rooms you will head upstairs. MARY'S ROOM The switch here controls the stereo, which is the music for the game. You can leave it on or turn it off. Make your decision now, you'll be stuck with it for a while. Head left to "Switch Me". SWITCH ME The thermo on the left turns on the blower in a later room -- "Going Up? No?". The other switch's use is pretty obvious. Turn on both switches. HER PLUS The switch here is obvious. Go downstairs. CHOOSE ME The switch on the right controls the toaster. Don't worry about the toaster at all and go downstairs again to the basement. GOOD NIGHT The switch on the right also controls the toaster (forces off). The switch on the left controls the light (very obvious). Keep going left. ANABELL LEE The switch on the right controls the light. (Watch out for hitting the filing cabinet). The switch on the left is a switch controlling the blower in "Good Night". GOING UP? NO? The switch here's use controls the light. If you hit the switch back in "Switch Me" (the one that wasn't connected to the TV), the blower to take you to a bonus room above will be turned on. Watch out the copter descending from the ceiling, but if you go upstairs fast enough it won't be an issue. Then, head back here and keep going left. CAREFUL WITH THOSE SWITCHES I won't spoil this one, it's obvious which one does what except on the first playthrough. LUNGE FISH The switch you hit on the left only means something if you decide to take a return trip to this room. The vent will just take you back to Annabel Lee, so head right and go back upstairs. The toaster should be off. Don't worry about the switch on the right, it will just turn the toaster back on. Go upstairs to the second floor. ROOM WITH A VIEW A-ha, another choice! Jump out the window to grab the Foil (handy item with some partial invincibility but it makes your Glider a cool black color) and clock. A vent should get you back up to "Room with a View" to go to the third floor. TIGHT Both switches control the vent on the right. Hit the bottom left switch first, then after grabbing the goods, head left to the next room. IN AND ABOUT This is essentially one way. You won't be able to go back the way you came for a while. Keep going left. BLOWERS CAN BE A NUISANCE Easy puzzle. Keep left. YES, BUT THE EXTRA GLIDER? Descend from above to get the extra life. Heads up: you can't leave the room through the window. You'd fall back to the beginning if you actually could. FEEL UP TO THIS? The top switch controls the shredder in "Why So Guarded?". The bottom one is the actual light. (The knife switch must be in the up/off position to turn off the shredder). TOASTER OF CERTAIN DEATH Do NOT go above the microwave! Just go up to the fifth floor instead. SWITCH CENTRAL The moment of decision! The top one controls the shredder, the middle one the plugs, and the right one the blower before the shredder. (The shredder and the blower being in "Junk"). All these start in the off position, so it's up to you to figure out how they must be done... JUNK With the switches in the correct position, you won't have a problem. DEAL WITH ME The switch will prevent you from falling to the ground. No, there's nothing secret about the mousehole. Keep going. In "Mystery Duct", the sparkles DO mean something. HOW TO TIP THE GREASE... The switch on the left-top turns on a blower. The one on the right activates the switch to get to "Mystery Duct" which leads you back to left side of the "Toaster of Certain Death" room at which point you can switch off the microwave and toaster. LISA SAID The thermo switches on the blower in "How to Tip the Grease...", which is not really a big deal unless you wanted get the other bonuses there. With the switches turned off (up position again), you can safely go over the microwave and backtrack back to "How To Tip the Grease..." and go right. THERE IT IS! You got the first star! Don't go out the window, though, keep going upstairs. Going out the window does grant you some bonus points for new rooms, and lets you try some of the rooms before "In and About" again. However, they are risky and probably not worth it. If you DO take the window exit, perhaps you can check the basement again. Maybe you missed something the first time around... PAUL'S ROOM The switch turns on the Mac Plus, like "Her Plus". Grab the clocks and go downstairs. A SINKING FEELING The duct on the left is just another way to the room to the right, and it's safer than trying to avoid the candle. BLOWIN' IN THE WIND You don't need to access this switch right now...just keep going downstairs. BIG DRIPPER The left leads to "The Corner Diner" which in turn leads to a bonus room. But unless you really need batteries (you will if you wasted them), don't bother, you'll probably lose a life or two. Instead, head right then down. IT'S A PARTY! What I found for this one is to shoot the balloons on the far left then make a mad dash for the left with the battery but STOP as soon as you clear the obstacles. GREASE IS ON TV A nasty trick...the switch blows downward to your death! Once again, use the battery. After you've cleared that, tip the grease on the TV and grab the extra life. IT'S THE 4TH OF JULY! The duct just takes you back to "Grease Is On TV". Don't bother with it and go downstairs. LIVE! The switches control the electronics in the room. TIGHT SQUEEZE Don't worry about the rubber bands. Just get enough air, take a deep breath, and go through without help. It's all about timing. FIRESIDE CHAT Just go for it after the balloons pop at the ceiling. TIPPY TORCHIERE The switch on the left turns off the power plug spark, the switch on the right controls the light. Don't get burned! HERE'S LOOKIN' AT YOU, KID Use the battery again. There are a few more tricks that the game lobs at you before the second star, but hopefully you saved up those gliders! ==TO BE CONTINUED!== At this point you will get a high score if you have not gotten this far. If you like this guide and want to see more, just email admin@carbon-izer.com so I can feel motivated to continue to finish. ==HINTS== SWITCH CENTRAL If you want to stay in one piece, don't turn on the top switch! (The "off" position is "up")
