THE DISAPPEARING DR. VU

I have the updated Prima guide to SimCity 4, covering the "SimCity 4 Deluxe Edition" (the version that has the Rush Hour expansion pre-installed). The U-Drive-It missions, which are used to unlock some reward items, have "Good" and "Evil" alignments, with the "Evil" alignments lowering your Mayor rating but gaining some cash and interesting reward options. The book shows a dialogue box with Dr. Vu.

However, he doesn't look like that in-game, he looks like this. This change was made fairly late in the process for entirely unknown reasons. You could argue that a villainous Fu Manchu-style character was considered too racist, so he was changed at the last minute...but the texture is still just the City Planner in the Japanese version. The texture actually used was so slap-dash Dr. Vu's full portrait has female breasts.
