I took this picture at night shortly after Payless ShoeSource announced it was liquidating (February 2019). It never got the newer "Payless Shoes" logo (good, never liked it).

Assuming that the Google Earth date for the aerial is accurate, the Bastrop Payless opened in 1997 (it was under construction in 1996), and I'm pretty sure it was always Payless.
