The 2000 block of Post Oak Mall covers the stores between Sears and the main entrance, so the backs of these stores face the bypass. This appears to be a relatively troubled section considering that The Limited is still vacant.

Right now, most of my "resources" are jumbled in different places, so this is not going to cover even what I have.

Currently, the "numbers" are what was listed in mall directories up until 2003, they have real "suite" numbers, so I'm going to do my best.

#2000
U.S. Army
This store hasn't been used as an independent suite for years. At some point, Rugged Outdoors downscaled their space (it wasn't here in 2006, but it was here by the time RO closed in 2012) to serve as the Army recruiters, which relocated from #3009.

#76 / 2002
The Home Front

Much like Bed Bath & Beyond, this offered soft goods and other furnishings (silverware and others). Here's an ad from 1984.

Brazos Valley Troupe
Home to a local performing arts group. From what I've seen (and this is supported on their website), they feature youth performers (high school age, looks like).

Rugged Outdoors
Sometime in the early 2000s, Rugged Outdoors moved in, which was more of a hunting-and-fishing sporting goods store (they sold firearms). They closed at the end of 2012.

BVMMA
By the end of 2013, BVMMA moved in from their old location near Kroger.

#78 / 2006
Waterbed Gallery
Existed in the 1980s, but by the end of the 1980s, this was gone. In 1984, this also had a location at 303 South College Avenue (University Square). This fabric and sewing machine store lasted a good part of the 1980s but was gone around the end of the decade.

Waterbeds Etc. (?)
This may have replaced Waterbed Gallery by 1989. Not sure yet.
Stina's Shag
This rug store was here in 2007. Cheap signage, flea market name, it lasted some months but I believe was gone by the end of the year. Later this served as temporary home to Buckle. As of 2015, I believe this spot is vacant.
#80 / #2008
Command Performance
An early 1982 map erroneously placed "Cutlery World" also on this space. Interestingly, while Command Performance moved out the space years ago, it was in the mall until sometime around 2013. The space was eventually absorbed into a space that held Lerner New York (later New York & Company).

#81 / #2010
As far as I can tell (even going back to some of the earliest planning maps and to the first directories), this space wasn't occupied. It later was absorbed into the Lerner New York space though.

#82 / #2012
Keyboard Center
This keyboard shop (music, not what you might have in front of you) was eventually absorbed into the Lerner New York space. It isn't mentioned in the 1993 phone book.

#83 / #2014
Motherboard Maternity
Maternity wear. This was later absorbed into Lerner New York's space, but it spent some time vacant later according to an undated late 1980s/early 1990s directory.

#84 / #2016
Upstage Shoes
I can't find a lot on this store, it was a chain in the 1980s.

#85 / #2018
Walden Books
Original smaller location of Waldenbooks, moved out later. Lerner New York
By the late 1990s, this occupied a rather large space. I actually have a directory when the store changed names which was...2003?

New York & Company
NY & Co. closed in 2012. I believe the space may have been (partially?) retenanted with Maurices.

#2019
Maurices
Takes over part of Lerner's space, though occupies the original 2018.

#87 / #2020
Lerner Shop
This was the original occupant of the space as per early 1980s maps. Unsure of when it moved out.

Lane Bryant
This occupied this suite in 2006. A few years after that, it moved out to a strip mall one exit north. This was also present in the late 1990s map. Charlotte Russe
After LB left, this store replaced it.

#89 / #2022
Regan's
First tenant in this place. It appears in the 1989 phone book but not the 1993 one. (The) Buckle
This was also present in the late 1990s map (it does not appear in the 1993 phone book) and also in the 2006 map and is still there as of 2015. At some point, probably in the late 1990s or very early 2000s, "The" was dropped from the name.

#90 / #2024
Kinney
Shoe store, charter tenant. It looks like this one went to the end of the line.

Pacific Sun (PacSun)
Was here in early 2007 and remains there as of 2015. The name had been altered to PacSun by early 2007.

#91 / #2026
Chess King
This was here in a much smaller space (though same number and suite number). Chess King was one of the big men's '80s clothing stores before the 1990s hit and Chess King fell into "checkmate", so to speak.

Gap
This dominated a large space through the 1990s and 2000s, but at some point in the early 2010s, Gap went out of business, and it became smaller stores. Body Central
After Gap went out of business, the suite number (restored to its original size) became Body Central, a woman's clothing store.

#92 / #2028
Foxmoor
Woman's clothing store later absorbed into Gap space.

Vans
After Gap went out of business, this would become Vans (not to be confused with Vons, a supermarket), a skateboarding apparel shop.

#93 / #2030
Gateway Cards
Later absorbed into Gap space.

Freeworld Gallery
Gift shop that closed after the 2013 Christmas season. Their website still lists POM as a location. Are they still even actually extant?

Oakley
Tenant that replaced FWG.

#94 / #2032
Gordon's Jewelry
This was later absorbed into Gap space, but after the Gap closed, it became part of the new 2030.

#95 / #2032
Quick as a Flash
Original 1980s tenant, but moved out before the end of the decade. By the early 1990s, it would have two locations in town, but neither in POM.

CPI Photo Finish
Found in the late 1980s or early 1990s directory.

Little Havana Cigar Company
This intriguing sounding store was in the late 1990s directory. The 1998 phone book also lists it.

4 Tip to Toe
I seem to remember this salon has been here since the early 2000s.

To make the November update and to prevent burnout, #97, the cinema's space, has been left out. This was Cinema 3 prior to 1998 (Plitt originally, then Carmike). The Wikipedia article for Post Oak Mall (which I will NOT list) says 1999 but I'm not sure because for years the article was aggressively squatted by a Wikipedia user (the type that seem to literally never sleep). Any confirmations as to when it closed would be appreciated (for years it said 2000, the date may finally be right this time).
